The Brief

  • Work with the client to design the site layout and site lighting, producing detailed CAD plans to support construction, delegate journey planning and health & safety requirements.

  • Provide an audio design and live music solution capable of operating within extremely sensitive site noise restrictions, while still delivering a high-quality live music experience.

  • Design and deliver a robust temporary power generation and distribution system to supply production, catering and site-wide lighting.

  • Provide safe and effective site illumination for attendees and event staff, while maintaining a sympathetic and visually appealing aesthetic appropriate to the heritage setting.

  • Deliver technical support for presentations, live music performances and DJs throughout the event.

  • Supply printed signage and branding assets designed to minimise environmental impact.

The Challenge

  • Extremely limited site access for production and logistics vehicles.

  • Heritage site with strict controls governing temporary structures and fixings.

  • No suitable on-site electrical infrastructure.

  • Requirement to achieve sub-60dB noise levels at monitored points behind the stage.

Our Event Production Solution

  • We carried out extensive site surveys and advance planning, adapting our logistics strategy to utilise smaller vehicles and a bespoke stage solution that enabled us to deliver the required production level within the site’s access constraints.

  • We engineered an innovative festoon support system across the site that avoided ground penetration entirely, fully complying with heritage restrictions while maintaining visual impact.

  • At short notice, we reconfigured the power distribution strategy to incorporate our own temporary power generation. This system was carefully designed around safety, redundancy and continuity of essential services, including emergency and egress lighting.

  • A precisely modelled and carefully positioned line array system was deployed to minimise reflections into sensitive areas and control acoustic spill. This was further enhanced by a cardioid subwoofer configuration, significantly reducing low-frequency energy behind the stage and ensuring compliance with site noise limits.

What we delivered

Main Stage

An outdoor-rated stage capable of supporting daytime presentations, public address and live performances. The stage provided performance space for a seven-piece band and DJs, and was transported to and from site in two long-wheelbase vans before being erected within a few hours.

Site Lighting

Hundreds of metres of warm white festoon lighting defined site pathways and provided functional illumination for attendees. Floodlighting was installed for pick-up and drop-off areas, with LED tree lighting and architectural wash lighting used to highlight Mapledurham House.

Power

Temporary power generation delivered via an array of towable generators with long-run fuel tanks. The system was designed for maximum continuity and safety, with additional backup generation built into the supply. Certified power distribution was provided for catering, stage and production infrastructure.

Audio

A Front of House PA system capable of delivering concert-level audio for audiences of up to 1,000 people outdoors. Backline and in-ear monitoring systems were supplied for the band, with DJ equipment provided for DJ performances.

Print

Event branding and signage produced using recyclable 10mm cardboard, printed with certified, environmentally responsible inks.
