Coopervision Brand Activation and Conference - Casa Gessi, Milan
We delivered a brand showcase for CooperVision in Milan, featuring a series of distinct experiences designed to engage delegates throughout the event. Scenic elements were fabricated in our UK workshops and transported to Milan alongside technical equipment and crew. On site, we installed, rehearsed and delivered the event in full at Casa Gessi.

The Brief

Create a multi-faceted brand experience to showcase different aspects of the client’s business through a range of distinct, immersive environments.

Design and deliver a mapped projection tunnel for delegates to walk through and experience tailored content.

Create a multi-sensory, secluded sustainability zone within the exhibition space.

Design and build an engaging circular stage to support live presentations.

Design and deliver lighting throughout the venue to enhance the overall delegate experience.

Produce the live plenary presentations and manage the in-house technical crew.
The Challenge

Ensure all scenic elements, technical equipment and printed materials were transported from the UK to Milan efficiently, navigating post-Brexit logistics and customs requirements.

Manage access and installation within a venue located deep within Milan’s fashion district, where vehicle access was restricted and traditional truck loading was not possible.

Maintain flexibility to accommodate late-stage design changes and print updates in the lead-up to the event.

Engineer a cost-effective mapped projection solution that could be installed quickly and reliably on site, within a limited budget and timeframe.
Our Event Production Solution

Extensive experience delivering international events enabled all scenic elements, technical equipment and printed materials to be transported from the UK to Milan efficiently, using trusted logistics partners and established processes to ensure reliable delivery.

A local network of contacts in Milan was utilised to secure the correct permits and coordinate Italian suppliers, allowing equipment to be cross-loaded into smaller vehicles suitable for restricted venue access. The team arrived ahead of schedule to provide additional flexibility during the load-in period.

Close collaboration between design, scenic build and print production teams allowed late-stage design updates to be implemented efficiently without impacting build schedules or on-site delivery.

We used our unique knowledge of AV and installation to find a projection solution that fitted the budget, looked smart and could be run from our own Resolume servers. We pre build the projection in the UK so we could trouble shoot any content issues and make sure our projector line up worked.

An experienced technical team managed installation, rehearsals and live operation, maintaining clear communication and ensuring the event was delivered smoothly from build through to show day.
What we delivered
Exhibition Build
A 360-degree exhibition experience featuring a central walk-through tunnel, an interactive basketball activation, and 180 degrees of seamless branded walling forming the perimeter of the space.
Projection Tunnel
A walk-through projection experience comprising four individually mapped content zones, powered by our media servers to deliver seamless, immersive visuals.
Multi-sensory Sustainability Zone
A dedicated walk-through experience engaging sight, sound and smell. Printed graphics and branding were combined with mood lighting, a 360-degree surround soundscape and immersive natural aromas.
Event Brading
Printed and framed assets installed throughout the venue to reinforce brand messaging and clear calls to action.
Staging
A custom-built, curved presentation stage, finished to a high standard and designed to integrate seamlessly within the exhibition environment.
Lighting
Mood lighting designed to enhance the delegate journey and support each experience zone throughout the exhibition.
Show Production
Pre-site and on-site show production for the live show, including coordination with the local venue and technical provision.
Production Staffing
An experienced Europe-based event crew travelled to Milan to deliver the project, managing installation, live operation and de-rig.
